Seals
Nilos
A Nilos seal is a pressed steel ring or plate that fits up to the side of a standard bearing to seal the inner or outer ring. A basic design, Nilos seals are adequate for clean environments with minimal threats for contamination.

Labyrinth
Designed as a series of sharply angled corners, a labyrinth seal prevents contamination from reaching the spindle bearings with the aid of gravity. This method is highly effective provided the spindle is in operation.

Air Purge
An active bearing isolation system, an air purge utilizes a continuous blast of shop air to prevent contamination from entering a spindle’s bearings.
