Mounting Options for your Spindle.

Dynomax spindles come in 5 basic mounting configurations, each with 3 optional orientations. Below are the 15 standard mounting and orientation designs available.
Block Mount (B)
Typically externally driven spindles, Dynomax block mount spindles are attached to a machine through the use of bolts.
Cartridge Mount (C)
The only Dynomax style spindle that requires additional mounting brackets, Dynomax Cartridge Mounted spindles are typically externally driven spindles. Cartridge Mounted spindles can have flanges that are used to secure the spindle to the machine, however some cartridge designs require clamping to locate the spindle.
Foot Mount (FM)
Mounted through a system of bolts to the machine, Foot Mounted (also known as Base Mounted) spindles are attached at their foot (or base). Typically this style of mounting is required when a mounting plate is used.
Barrel Mount (BM)
Barrel Mounted spindles are inserted into a machine and then secured through the use of a clamping device to the machine across the barrel. This style of mounting is typical of grinding applications.
Flange Mount (FL)
Flange Mounted spindles are affixed to the machine with bolts through the flange. Flange Mounted spindles can be integral motor or externally driven, but require a flange (or lip) for installation.
